This is the spot for island hopping. Pelican Island is a unique kayaking adventure. The island is a bird sanctuary only accessible by water. You can swim to the island, or you can take the easy way and rent a kayak or paddleboard.

The waters in this side of the intercoastal are usually easy to navigate for paddlers of any level. However, keep watchful of the weather forecast, because if the wind pics up over 12MPH you may struggle a bit. Windy days are best enjoyed by intermediate to advance paddlers.
